All in all, 25 % of the Northrhine-Westphalian jobs of this sector are located in both cities. The local companies in Velbert and Heiligenhaus are global market leaders and top sellers in their area of activities.

This cluster means a number of advantages of location for middle-class companies in the Key Region: short distances, specialised suppliers, qualified professionals and community facilities of industry, such as a joint training workshop.
